CLASS: SS1& SS2
PERIODS: EIGHT (8) PER WEEK

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Readers are said to be leaders, and every leading society is a reading society, hence the best way to damage ignorance and exploitation is acquiring knowledge. Looking down the history of Ebonyi State, it becomes impatient to know that farming is the major occupation of the inhabitant of the state, which is well pronounced in the villages, of which Amuda community is not excluded. Due to the low level of literacy in the community, parents do not attach much importance to education but because of the quest of survival of the youth in the village and the influence of successful educated people whom they have heard about, it propels them to go out of their way to wanting to be educated. However, due to the level of poverty in the community, 90% of the student of community secondary school Amuda do not have personal required books at home for study and even in the school there is no access to textbooks because the scanty text books that are available are either with teachers or belong to teachers personally. This lack of access to books have caused great set back to the students studies as well as serving as a major barrier to the accreditation of the school.
Nevertheless, after much discussion with both the students and management of the school, we resolve that since we cannot afford to buy text books for all the students in the school, the best option is to establish a library that will give all students equal opportunity to read and access books in the school. The project started with donation of books, items and money by sponsors and students of the school, then the furniture were made, a class to be used as the library was renovated and decorated to fit a good library, books where purchased and proper documentation and cataloging was done.
The setting up of the library cost over #70,000 aside the donation of some books and materials and the project was duly supervised by the sponsors and the local government inspector in person of Mrs. Lillian Orji.
The project was however inaugurated by the Zonal Inspector, Onueke Zone, in person of Mrs Nwosu Cathrine on the 19th of July 2016 and was covered by Unity Fm Abakaliki.

1.0 INTRODUCTION
CHAPTER THREE
3.0 CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
3.1 CONCLUSION
The completion of this great project is indeed a dream come through, it was tagged PROJECT GIVE A CHILD A LIFE LINE because of the innate passion to help young and purposeful people who have the zeal for education but are faced with lack of material because of financial constrain. Now we can boldly say any student who desire to read can have access to required text book on all subjects in Community Secondary School Amuda without poverty or social class serving as an obstacle. I am happy for the students because in them i got the passion to accomplish this project.

3.2 RECOMMENDATION
One thing is to start up or establish a library, another thing is to maintain the Library, i hereby recommend that after my service year expires, the school should look for capable staffs and students to manage and maintain the Library for proper security and sustainability
The school should Endeavour to constantly buy relevant and recommended books to the library to continually make it relevant and adequate security and measures should be put in place to make the library always conducive for reading.
Lastly, the purpose of the Library is majorly to give equal opportunity to access reading material to all student, Hence the Library should not in any way be turned into money making avenue from the students, as it will go against the motive of the passion behind the library.

                 PROJECT TWO

TRANING OF AMUDA COMMUNITY STUDENTS ON THE PRODUCTION OF ANTESCEPTICS (i.eDETTOL, IZAL) AND PERFUME.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Education is being regarded as the bed rock of success in life, which is no doubt, the basic truth. However, the world we are is in a state of flux, hence there is an urgent need for every individual to move with the present wave of being self reliance to be able to sustain one's living in the present day society.
SAED been one of the core area of the NYSC orientation camping exercise has bestowed the need to be self reliance and entrepreneurly inclined upon Corp member, which in turn can be replicated in improving the standard of living of members of a Corp member host community as part of personal community development service.
Amuda Community in Ezza- North Local Government area of Ebonyi State is one of the most remote villages in the state with substituent farming the major occupation of the people. Due to the small Scale farming by most occupant of the village, it was observed that the poverty Level in the community is high which in turns put the future of young Nigerian youths who are secondary school student of that community in jeopardy.
On the basis of this, there was a need to diversify and bring in another form of business within the community, which will help improve the standard of living of members of the community.
Needless to say, the need to train students of community secondary school Amuda on the production of antiseptics (DETTOL and Izal) and Perfume arises, since this commodity are costly in the market and requires little capital to produce them in mass. Amuda Community Secondary School students were singled out to be trained as they own the highest percentage of youths in the community and will serve as the easiest point of contact to the aged people in the village who are majorly not lettered.
This project will help diversify the economy of the community, make people to be self reliant and possess personal skill which can be used personally or for commercial purpose.
However, the entrepreneurship training will help to give young youth the knowledge on how to become successful entrepreneurs in the future and making them know the pros and cons of been self employed.
Upon the positive effect this training will have on the life of every member of the community, the school board and management of community secondary school Amuda took the burden to sponsor the project and training which lasted for three weeks. The training which cost #6000 include entrepreneurship seminar, training on how to produce DETTOL, Izal and Perfumes, and the inauguration of the project which was done on the 19th of July 2016 by the Zonal Inspector Onueke Zone in person of Mrs. Nwosu Cathrine and the Ezza-North Local Government Inspector in person of Mrs. Orji Lillian witnessed students telling the public what they learn from the entrepreneur seminal as well as production of Dettol, Izal and Perfume for all and sundry that were present at the inauguration. The major challenged that was faced was the unavailability of a computer system and a projector for projection during training to be able to enhance proper learning, however since we have a very large population of people who can produce this items, it was recommended that the community can organize a symposium to train other members of the community subsequently.
Finally, i am grateful to almighty God for giving me the strength to be able to impact the future generations.

1.0 INTRODUCTION
Education is being regarded as the bed rock of success in life, which is no doubt, the basic truth. The objectives why the project is been carried out remains the core benefit of the project to both the direct beneficiary and the community at large.

1.6 SOURCE OF FUNDING THE PROJECT
Due to the effect of the project and the little amount it cost, the school board and management accepted to fund and finance the project

CHAPTER THREE
3.0 CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
3.1 CONCLUSION
The completion of the project is a dream comes through because it was brought out of passion to give students knowledge of skill for self reliance which will be of benefit to them now and even in the future. I do hope this project will birth future entrepreneurs and captains of industries in our nation in coming years.

RECOMMENDATION
It is one thing to be though, it is another thing to make use of what was learnt, hence, am appealing to all beneficiaries of the project not to let the seed deposited in them to die, but should constantly practice it despite all odd.
Also the community should constantly organize symposiums like the seminar to allow people who have learnt it to be able to teach does who have not learn it and the upcoming generation.
Conclusively, the community should try and make a way to enable chemicals for the production of this resource to be sold within the community and the community should also encourage patronage from people who were trained and want to set it up as their business.
