What you need determines what your network, because before your network there must have been an image formed in the mind.
*Needs birth Network*
You decide who you network with, you don't network with people because of who they are.
Your goal is to be a teacher and most people on your contacts are top billionaires, engineers, pilot, business men. That network is a waste because you are not on the same frequency, to them mostly, you appear as a liability.
*Everyone want to do away with liabilities.*
You don't network from the top, you network from down -up so that you gradually build the required self worth needed to network on the right frequency when you get up.
You are a writer, and Wole Soyinka that you have never seen or know is your mentor. Its wrong. He can only be your role model, not your mentor.
*When you do not have personal relationship with someone, such person cannot be called your mentor*
*Mentors and mentee work on corresponding frequency of feedback*
*People you look up to but do not have personal relationship with can only qualify as your role model*

Do you know that every one either directly or indirectly has their self esteem and worth to protect
So every network you think you have also have a self worth they are preserving.
No network will link you without certainty of the fact that you won't bring disrepute to their self worth
So, why you look at the array of connections of those you know, they look out for the credibility of your self worth.
When you don't have a self worth, you disgrace your network.
People at the top are afraid to network with people below. This is not because they cannot network with them, but they are protecting their self worth to avoid it bring tarnished by people below.
The way to tarnish self worth is when your network has no self worth and get disgraced.
Have you ever recommended someone for something before and the person fumbled? How do you feel? You know people no longer see the network, but the self worth of you that recommended the person. That is how it is.
Also, people below find it difficult to network with people at the top because, it takes time to build the quality that can make you be on the same frequency with those at the top. And most times, people below cannot go through the stages.
Hence people below network with people below and people at the top network with people at the top.
So network is indirectly a value chain of self worth.
Your value determines your network chain and then improves your net worth.
What is called net worth most times is not in cash or substance but in value and brand.
Your net worth is actually how much you worth outside your material and cash possession.

Let's continue from where we stopped last week.
You might have a lot of big names on your contact, in fact, you might not even be able to chat with them or communicate well with them, do you know why?
There is no meeting point between.
Most times we want to connect with every big names so we get the contact, but when we have it, we are either disappointed by their responses or we cannot even flow with them.
The real fact is this, nobody can decide to make you a friend without you making them as a friend. You choose your friends and not that your friends choose you.
Now my assignment for you today:
Look at the list of all your friends and think through what made you become friends
Now the bottom line of this is that. For every of your friend, there is what is called a transaction
You are together because you are either adding up to them or they are adding up to you.
Every Connection is a transaction if not in kind, it could be to repay something or to gain something
When you see people networking with you then you have something they need.
So when you want to successfully network, you must possess what is needed by those you intend networking with.
Your self worth determines the frequency of your network.
So it's hard to communicate with those people even when you have their contact because your self worth is not sending enough frequency to tap into them.
You are stock of idea on what to discuss
People don't respond to your problems because you have the problems but because they see a value of communication in you.
I just hope am breaking this down well for you to comprehend
Your network will translate to zero if you are not on the same frequency.
So what brings your net worth is the value you posess that attracts your network.
I will end this next week, when I shall explain the basic principles of networking.
Note: it can take you 20 years just to build a self what that will attract the network to announce you in a single day.
You cannot substitute self development for networking
Process development cannot replace network frequency.

*If you have not been reading my weekly broadcast, please take time to follow the teachings of "network and net worth" which will span several weeks.*
The statement that your network is your Networth is not unfamiliar.It is one of the favorite quotes of many people. But, do you know this is a misguided statement.
*Why?*
It will take weeks of this broadcast to fully explain well. You should do yourself the favour of following the weekly broadcast every Sunday.
When people tell you that your network is your net worth, you need to ask them, 'what exactly are you networking ?'
You see, this statement has drawn alot of people into confusion and desperation.
Now let's do one simple practical today.
Pick up your phone, identify your top network; people of influence whose contact you have, and who you think can help when the need arise. Contact them and inform them of your biggest challenge right now- getting a job, a business idea you need money to execute, a ministry you want to start, and so on. I'm not asking you to ask them for money for food or cloth or even shelter. A good Samaritan can get you those things.
Now, I can place my bet that over 90% of those who try it will be disappointed by their so-called 'top network'.
People often say that rich people are misers, that is, they are stingy. Some people say they have a lot of people to cater for.While this might not be false,it is not totally true.
*The reality is, your true net worth is your Value Worth.You must also realise that Value Worth is not improved by Network.*
*Similarly, Your value worth is improved by your self worth.*
*Self worth is only realized by network, it is not built by your network*
*You do not discover your network, your network realises you and cleave to you.*
Until your network cleaves to you; your network is meaningless.
*There is difference between network and contact !*
Some of you might even have some top personalities on your contact list or media platforms that you are scared to talk to, or there is no smooth communication whenever you talk to them.
