WHAT A PITY

It’s really a pity that Nigeria is 100years old this year, a nation that is expected to be flying high, the nation is still crawling not even walking, and that same nation is about wasting billions of Naira celebrating centenary when over 50% of its citizens are living in abject poverty, what is the cause of the celebration? That we are 100 years old with little or no achievement to show for it or that huge amount of money is about to be wasted again when millions are suffering in that nation, I question what is sort of mentality do our leaders have.

Sure, the fact remains that Nigeria as a nation has developed in terms of civilization but definitely not in the area of development, because if this is development in a rich oil producing nation like Nigeria then, we are not on the way. If we are really on the way in terms of development then Nigeria leaders will be able to value what they have in their nation.

If I should start counting the problem Nigeria is faced with, definitely if will take me a whole year to discuss a nation governed by mediocre, but I can’t but raise some fundamental solution to some of our problems.

I will not see a moving nation until the president or any political office holder in this nation are not allowed to receive medical treatment anywhere in the world except in Nigeria hospitals, if truly the standard of Nigeria hospitals are so good why should they go out of the country for treatment, which implies that if they are made to use hospitals in Nigeria alone, they will look for all means to equip those hospitals if they do care about their life. Late. Nelson Mandela never went out of South Africa to receive treatment throughout the time he was sick, even when south-Africa can afford to take him to the best hospital in the world. Those are good and sensible leaders.

If our political office holder are not allowed to use anything that is not produce in Nigeria, then we are moving forward, not a situation that ban will be place on importation of rice and, the people that make the ban are eating imported rice, only further inflicting pains on  the innocent Nigerians .

Let them use cars that are produced in this country, if it is not good, let them die in the bad cars build in this nation if they can’t improve it.

Let them put on cloth produced in Nigeria, let them wear Nigeria made shoes, let them drink Nigeria water, if they can’t do that, then it implies they no Nigeria is not good and they are not ready to improve it ,so they are not worthy to be called good leaders without any apology.

Let the use of generator be banned in all government house, if they need light so well, let them invest so much in our electricity sector, and they will have light.

We are tired of been governed this way, there is a need to have a re-think in this nation, don’t lets deceive our self Nigeria is disgracing other west Africa nation, if we should be the giant of Africa and we can’t boost of a state in the nation that is even 80% good, it’s a shame.

Lets us all read the philosophy of JULIUS NYERERE and let’s adopt his philosophy of UJAMMA and the TANU creed. Let’s emulate the Asian tigers.

No political office holder in India is allowed to use what is not produced in their country, may be that is the reason they are progressing in terms of technology.

Nigeria must move forward from this crawling stage, let’s stop celebrating our failure as a nation, and let’s stop exposing our stupidity and dogmatism to the world.

The western worlds are laughing at us, they are only clapping to our stupidity, and when successful nations are called out Nigeria will not be recognized. a good example is what happened at nelson Mandela burial, despite how helpful Nigeria was to south Africa during there apartheid period they barely did not want to give us recognition at the burial ceremony, when we should be given a special seat to sit, but our myopic leader will not see that, Nigeria are ignorant and instead of us to keep quit yet we keep doing things that will expose our ignorance to the public.

For God sake the united nation made a great mistake to have made Nigeria to be among their security council, a nation that can’t even handle the case of terrorism in his own mini community, what kind of contribution will such nation give to nations that are in war? UN you can see your mistake, look at nations critically before you committee responsibilities in their hand, a man that his house is burning and he wants to go and help another man to quench stove.

It’s time for us all to have a re-think on what is happening in this nation and let’s stop praising an hen that know how to crow when if crows, of course if it can’t crow what is its function?, let us tell the hen we are tired of its lousy crow, we need the hen to start lying eggs and hatching it by itself, not that it will lay egg and will take it to another man’s house to hatch in and in most cases collecting another man’s chick with huge amount of money and calling the chicks her own, who is the hen deceiving.

The future is here and the future is now, Nigeria must move forward from this shameful state.
